I had a blast yesterday at the arcade. But just today, one of my cousins introduced me to a great sport, Horse jumping. It was so cool, they do all kinds of competitions and the horses were beautiful. It was such a thrill. Horse jumping is a big event especially to horse trainers and owners. They breed and train horses to jump over obstacles and barricades. The horses are bred from the best of the best breeds. They are trained from birth to do amazing things and feats so that they may be able to compete at competitions. The best part is that you can make a lot of money with this sport. If you are the person riding the horse or the jockey, you can win a lot of competitions. If you have your own horse it gets even better, you can make millions off of them. If you are able to train some horses and they win a lot of trophies, you can make a lot of money as well.

I discovered a time when horse and man absolutely depended on one and other to survive…Horse jumping or known to others as show jumping, stadium jumpers or jumpers is joined in an English riding equestrian where there are many events like dressage, eventing, hunters, and equitation. Horse jumping is even included in the Olympics. There many differences in the horses jumping but there are two classes, the working hunter class and the jumping class. The Working hunter class are judged on the degree to which they meet an ideal standard of manners, style and way of going. The jumper class though are scored entirely on a numerical score determined only whether the horse attempts certain obstacles and the time the horse can finish the courses depending on the competition. The competitions are great for families and little girls who love horses. They are able to visit the horses, the owners, the jockeys, and the trainers.

The reason for the start of horse jumping is because in the old days of England, horses had to be able to jump over fences because their owners had to chase foxhounds as a sport. They made horse jumping a sport in France but the only problem was that no one was able to see the jumping of the horses because the competitions were cross-country. The original name of horse jumping was Leaping but in 1869 at the Dublin horse show they started calling it horse leaping. By the 1900s, they made classes for the sport, classes for all ages and a gender class.
